Showtime Dance Company's Policies

  • Tuition Policy:

    • I acknowledge that Showtime Dance Company reserves the right to refuse lessons to any child with delinquent tuition.

    • Our term runs from September 4th through April, covering the full school year—a comprehensive 8-month program.

    • Tuition is due on or before the first of each month, with all families required to keep a card on file for monthly charges.

    • We schedule makeup classes for weather-related and other unplanned cancellations.

    • A $20 fee applies to bounced checks.

  • Withdrawal and Refunds:

    • A two-month minimum applies to all classes. Enrolling means agreeing to pay for a minimum of two months.

    • Withdrawal must be done in person or via email before the 1st of the month to avoid charges for that month.

    • To withdraw, parents must inform studio administration, complete, and sign a withdrawal form.

    • Automatic debiting or credit card charges cease after proper withdrawal, with no refunds. The studio reserves the right to terminate classes without notice, and unused class fees will be refunded.

    • No refunds are given for unused costumes.

  • Attendance:

    • No refunds are provided for missed classes, but we schedule makeup classes for unforeseen cancellations.

    • Please notify the instructor if your child will be absent. In case of extended illness or other unforeseen circumstances, contact the instructor promptly.

  • Snow Cancellations:

    • Cancellation and delay information will be posted in our Facebook group, with classes rescheduled for makeup.

  • Observation:

    • Direct observation from the dance room is not allowed. Parents are welcome to wait in the lobby while students finish class.

    • Occasional opportunities for parents to watch the last few minutes of class may arise but are not regular occurrences.

    • Registered dancers may be dropped off and picked up; accompanying adults are necessary for dropping off other children.

  • Communication:

    • Showtime Dance Company communicates through our closed Facebook group. Please enable notifications to stay informed.

    • For any inquiries, please contact Kate. While we aim for a positive experience, instructors may not be available between classes.

  • Class Behavior:

    • We prioritize a positive and educational dance experience for all students, treating them with courtesy and respect.

    • Students are expected to reciprocate respect to their teachers and peers by paying attention, avoiding disruptive talking during class, and following class rules.

    • Food and drinks are permitted during water breaks, but not at other times.

    • Hanging on ballet barres is discouraged.

    • Students should arrive on time, ready to dance, and maintain a positive attitude.

  • Classroom Etiquette:

    • Students should arrive on time and seek permission before leaving class early.

    • Instructors may dismiss students who disrupt the class, and gum is not allowed in the classrooms.

  • Photo Shoot:

    • Our annual photo shoot is a cherished tradition. While purchasing photos is optional, attendance is required as each class takes a group picture.

    • The shoot offers valuable lessons in costume preparation, headpiece securing, hairstyling, and theatrical makeup application.

  • Dance Recital:

    • Our grand annual show is scheduled for April 20, 2024, at Monett PAC, and admission is free.

  • Costumes and Fees:

    • Monthly tuition now includes costumes, tights, t-shirts, and recital fees. For recreational dancers, monthly tuition averages approximately $55.

  • Conventions, Performances, and Other Activities:

    • Throughout the year, students have opportunities to participate in master classes, community performances, and trips to different cities. Information, including costs and entry fees, will be provided in advance of each event, and all fees must be paid in advance.

  • Release of Media:

    • By enrolling in Showtime Dance Company, you grant permission for pictures and videos to be posted on our social media platforms.
